Japan’s 2010 World Cup Jersey: Discover the Inside Information!
Football organizations deliver some incredibly exciting sports apparel each year. Not too long ago, clubs began retailing their fresh 2010 world cup tops for the competition that commences on June 11, 2010 in South America. One squad in particular, Japan, has appeared to go above and beyond to live up to their name as one of the earth’s biggest fashion hubs.
The company they’re representing is going to be Adidas, and it is far from a cookie cutter design and style. Adidas has created the jersey around the campaign, “every team needs a shirt with a story”. This particular jersey includes designs and elements giving it even more meaning including a more one of a kind national identity. The ad is made up of a picture of their star football player Shunsuke Nakamura, pointing and yelling, at the same time a mob of players and fans flood the backdrop in support. In addition to the one of a kind design is Adidas’ modern TechFit fitting that contributes to the design and support of the shirt.
The jersey is royal blue, which inturn makes sense because the national team is called the “Blue Samurai”. It also contains a red patch by the neck line and delicately located leaves which have been hidden in the pattern. After digging a bit further, bushido or, the “way of the warrior” (the samurai code of behavior), means ‘hidden leaves’. Putting that all together, you have those hidden leaves in the blue jersey which represents the well-known samurai code of the Blue Samurai. In my opinion, this is perhaps one of the most innovative and distinctive football jersey to date.
